Wine Advocate
The 2006 Barbaresco Cole offers up melted road tar, incense, soy, dark fruit and French oak in an intense, powerful style. Today the Cole is extremely powerful and the oak is imposing, but another few years in bottle should help this young Barbaresco come together. The finish is long and harmonious, which augurs well for the wine? future. In 2006 the Cole is less muscular than in some previous vintages, but its balance is quite fine just the same. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2024. 92 points
