Wine Spectator
Very sappy and intense, with mouthwatering acidity framing the cassis, violet and tobacco notes, followed by a supervibrant finish that features lots of cassis bush character. The Petit Verdot isn't as obvious on the nose as the 2000, which had 10 percent in the blend, but just as prevalent on the taut finish, where there's plenty of spice, drive and cut. Tasted non-blind. —James Molesworth, 98 points

Very juicy wine, suffused with acidity. It has a core of dry tannins, even while the fruit and acidity dominate. There's a great sense of richness as well as freshness. —Roger Voss, 96 points

Wine Advocate
Deep garnet colored, the 2010 Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande gives up notes of warm cassis, blueberry pie and kirsch with wafts of cedar chest, pencil lead, charcoal and charcuterie plus a hint of wild thyme. Medium to full-bodied, the savory-inspired palate possesses a fair bit of chew with a lively backbone and firm finish. 93 points

Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande Tasting Notes
Complexity, elegance and longevity are the hallmarks of this race, they are found every year during the creation of the vintages. The nose is distinguished by a bouquet of aromas, mixing blackcurrant and violet, vanilla and cinnamon. In the palate, the tannins appear mature and melted, revealing a strong and affirmed structure, a surprising suppleness, perfect harmony and long persistency. The wine is seductive when young without prejudicing its longevity.
