Château Siaurac Tasting Notes
Supple, fruity and delicious: a very well-balanced Great Wine, an excellent value. Perfect with gourmet and traditional cuisine. Merlot to express fruit and Cabernet Franc for even more structure. A pleasure to drink young and will also age well: these wines can keep their freshness for 15-30 years, and even more. They practice environmentally-friendly, sustainable viticulture methods. No spraying of insecticides. There is grass-growing between the rows on the clay and sandy parts; ploughing of the gravelly parts and draining of areas of damp soils. They do crop thinning and de-leafing to keep down yields and enhance grape ripeness. The wine is aged in barrels for 12 months, only a quarter of which are renewed each year, to allow the character of the wine to show through better.

Wine Spectator
Tar and black licorice on the nose. Medium-bodied, with fine tannins and a silky finish. Turns to asphalt. Stylish. —James Suckling, 91 points

Wine Advocate
A sleeper of the vintage, this is the best wine I have ever tasted from this property. A dense purple color is followed by abundant meaty, black currant, black cherry, licorice, underbrush, and forest floor characteristics. Full-bodied, powerful, rich, and silky-textured, it will provide plenty of pleasure over the next decade. —Robert Parker, 91 points
