Robert Biale Tasting Notes
Steep rugged terrain, all day sunlight, and with great neighbors on Pritchard Hill above and Oakville below, Stagecoach is an ideal site. It now produces a Napa style Zinfandel of power and poise. Blackberry, raspberry jam, minerals, dried brush, baking spices and toffee flavors are held firmly on the palate by elegant tannins and juicy acidity. The beautiful 2007 vintage of this mountain grown Zinfandel is one for drinking AND keeping so be sure to get enough to do both.

Wine Advocate
A 5-acre section is called the Biale Block, and from that comes 775 cases of the 2007 Zinfandel Stagecoach Vineyard Biale Block. Earthy, loamy soil, pepper, black cherry, and currant aromas lead to a generous, full-bodied, seductive wine with no shortage of flavor, silky tannins, and a heady finish. Drink it over the next 5-6 years. —Robert Parker, 90 points
