Wine Advocate
The 2005 Shiraz Reiver, made from 60-year-old Shiraz vines in the Greenock area of the Barossa, was aged 18 months in lightly toasted French oak. Its inky/blue/purple hue is followed by a lovely perfume of flowers, blackberries, espresso, and licorice. Aged completely in 300 liter hogsheads, it offers stunning richness and length, and should drink well for 10-12 years. —Robert Parker,

Wine Enthusiast
This brooding beast starts with scents of dark chocolate and coffee, then adds plenty of fruit in the form of blueberries and blackberries on the rich, chewy palate. Despite the wine's considerable heft and density of fruit, there's enough spicy complexity and a surprising degree of elegance to the long, tongue-tingling finish. Drink now?2015. —Joe Czerwinski,
