Massena Tasting Notes
This Shiraz is crafted from 60-year old vines in Greenock sub district of the Barossa Valley. The old vines were to be uprooted by the growers due to the lack of yields and the fact that other companies were reluctant to pay for those excellent, yet low yielding vines. After repeated requests by Jaysen and Dan, the vineyard was 'saved? at the eleventh hour resulting in this excellent wine as well as the very appropriate name.

Wine Advocate
The 2004 Shiraz 11th Hour is a blend of fruit from a 60-year-old Greenock vineyard (60%) and a 90-year-old vineyard in Nuriootpa (40%). It was aged 18 months in used French oak. Its dense ruby/purple color is followed by aromas of peppery black currants, roasted meats, new saddle leather, and earth. This opulent, rich, full-throttle wine exhibits a smooth, long finish with a stunning texture as well as richness. Consume it over the next 10-12 years. Score range: 91-93. —Robert Parker, 93 points
