Château Certan de May Tasting Notes
Remarkably rich and concentrated. An enormous bouquet of spices, vanilla, oak, ripe rich black currants and plums. The wine macerates on the skins for almost one month, giving the wine its sensational concentration and black purple color. Vinified in stainless steel tanks and aged in 100% new oak barrels for 20-26 months.

Wine Spectator
Milk chocolate with blackberry and cappuccino on the nose. Full-bodied, with a brown sugar and coffee flavor. Silky tannins. Long and caressing. Reminds me of old-style Pomerols from the '40s. This is a wine that has a lot of bottle variation, but this one is beautiful. '88/'98 Bordeaux retrospective (2008). Drink now. —James Suckling, 91 points
