As Long Island's first vineyard, Castello di Borghese Vineyard & Winery has nearly three decades of experience in growing the noble grape, vitis vinifera, in eastern Long Island's unique maritime microclimate. Our vines were first planted in 1973, and we still harvest grapes from many of those original plants. Since the first vintage was harvested in 1975 and released in 1977, critics have hailed our wines as more than worthy competitors in the international wine world.
